ISSUE OF REGISTRATION FORMS FOR ADMISSION & REGISTRATIONS

Registration Forms for admission to Classes I to IX will be issued in the Vidyalaya, on payment of Rs.100/- per form from 15.02.2008 to 10.03.2008 from 8.30am to 10.30 am (On all working days).

Venue : Multipurpose Hall

The registration forms for admission completed in all respects are to be submitted in the MULTI PURPOSE HALL of the Vidyalaya between 8.30 am and 10.30 am from 15.02.2008 to 10.03.2008 for class I to Class IX.

The list of students selected for admission into Class I – IX (based on the vacancies available) will be displayed in the Vidyalaya Notice Board 0n 30.03.2008 for Class I and on 09.04.2008 for Classes II- IX.

PRIORITIES FOR ADMISSION

The following priorities shall be followed in selecting students for admissions:

Category:

  1. Children of Transferable Central Govt. employees including Ex-Servicemen who have had at least one transfer in the past seven years (from 01.04.2001 to 31.03.2008).
  2. Children of Non – Transferable Central Govt. employees including Ex-Servicemen, who have had no transfers in the last seven years.
  3. Children of Transferable and Non- Transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies / Public sector Undertakings / Institute of Higher Learning of the Govt. of India.
  4. Children of Transferable State Govt. Employees.
  5. Children of Non-Transferable State Govt. Employees.
  6. Children of Transferable and Non-Transferable Employees of Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertakings / Institutes of Higher Learning of State Govt.
  7. Children from any other Category.

Note :

  1. A student to be considered for admission, his/her parent should have had at least one transfer during the period from from 01.04.2001 to 31.03.2008, which involves change of station and moving with family to the new station.
  2. Applicants residing outside Bellary cannot be placed in any category for admission, unless one of the parents resides in Bellary. For the proof of the residence, the residential certificate is to be enclosed.
  3. The movement of defence personnel to the place of final settlement on retirement will be counted as a transfer.

Eligible age for Admission

  1. A Child must have completed 5 years of age on 30th September of the academic year in which admission is sought for Class i. For subsequent classes, the eligible age would be calculated accordingly.
  2. An upper age limit for admission is fixed as the minimum age limit plus two years. No child would be eligible for admission to a class if the age is more than this maximum age prescribed. The maximum age limit would be further relaxed by two years for handicapped children. These cases will be disposed of at the level of the principal. [There will be no relaxation in the upper age limit exceeding two years].

    Minimum and maximum age limits for each class are given below.

  3. There is no age restriction for admissions to Class XI provided the concerned child is seeking admission in the year of passing the Class X examination. Similarly there will be no upper & lower age limits for admission to Class XII provided there will be no upper & lower age limits for admission to Class XII provided there has been no break in the continuity of study of the child after passing class X / XI.

    NOTE:-

  2. Candidates securing less than 33% marks in any subject in the admission test would not be eligible for admission, irrespective of their category in the priority list.

    An admission test will be conducted in the following subjects :-
    1. Primary Classes (except Class-I) -English, Hindi & Maths
    2. Middle Classes (VI to VIII) - Hindi, English, Maths & General Knowledge.
    3. Secondary Classes( Ix and above) - Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science & Science
Reservations
  1. 16% seats for S.C & 7.5% for S.T would be reserved in all fresh admissions.
  2. 3% of seats will be horizontally reserved for physically Handicapped. In the event of these quotes remaining unfilled, the seats will be de-reserved.
Special Provisions

The following special provisions will be operative for admission:
  1. The children and dependent grand children of Hon'ble members of parliament
  2. Children and grand children (children of son or/and daughter) of serving and retired KVS employees.
  3. Children of central government employees who die in harness
  4. Children of recipients of Paramveer Chakrs, Mahavir Chakra, Veer Chakra, Ashoka Chakra, Kirti Chakran & Shourya Chakra
  5. Children of recipients of President's Police Medal for gallantry & police medal for gallantry
  6. Meritorious sports children who have secured I, II & III positions in SGFI / CBSE / National /State Level games organized by the Government
  7. Recipients of Rashtrapati Puraskar in scouts & guides
  8. Provision for single girl child
    1. Admissions in Class-I : After admitting the candidates up to the full intake capacity as per norms, if there are single female children left among the unsuccessful applicants, up to two single female children may be admitted over and above the sanctioned intake in each section of class -I. For selection on this basis, inter se priority among such single female children shall be as per the categorization in Para-3 (A) and (ii) relative rank in the admission test, with in the category.
    2. Admission in Classes -VI onwards: Single female children of employees coming under categories I-VI who do not qualify for admission based in their rank in the admission test/qualifying examination but who obtain the minimum qualifying marks, may be admitted up to a maximum of two girls per class, over and above the sanctioned strength. If there are more than two such applicants for a class, selection will be based on (i) inter se priority for different categories as given in para-3 (A) and (ii) relative rank in the admission test, with in the category.
Class Strength

Fresh admissions can be made in each section of each class up to 40. Such admission would be done up to 31st of July. After waiting for a period of ten days. 05 more students can be admitted in each section / class between 10th August and 30th September provided such candidates are the wards of central Govt. employees belonging to category I.

In addition to the children of parents transferred during the year, the children of parents belonging to category I transferred during previous years will also be considered eligible for admission, if seats are available after accommodating the children of category I parents transferred during the particular academic session. Fee Structure

The monthly rates of tuition fees charged for different classes are as under:

In addition to the above, students of classes I to XII are required to pay Rs.160/- per month and students of Class XI & XII, who opt for Computer Science / I.P. / Multimedia & Web - Technology as elective subjects are required to pay Rs. 200/- per month towards Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi in addition to the above.
The following categories of students are exempted from payment of Tuition Fee:

  1. Girl Students
  2. Students belonging to SC/ST Communities
  3. Children of KVS Employees
  4. Children of Officers & men of armed and paramilitary personnel killed or disabled during the hosilities 1962, 1965, 1971 and 19999 and as well as the children of defence personnel of Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) in Sri Lanka and personnel of armed forces killed or disabled in "Operation Meghdoot" in Siachin area and "Operation Vijay" in Kargil.

Exemption from VVN and Computer Fee for single child of parents (if girl) studying in Class VI onward w.e.f. 01.01.2006.

Admission not Automatically Valid

Children who have not completed one academic session in the Vidyalaya after their initial admission will not be automatically entitled to be admitted to another Vidyalaya, unless the concerned parents have been transferred to another location after the admission of the child. However, this would be done only after the approval of the concerned Assistant Commissioner. Such cases will not be referred to KVS (HQ).

Documents to be Enclosed along with Registration Form
  1. Attested Photocopy of Date of Birth Certificate issued by Municipality / Village Panchayat / Military Hospital. (The birth certificate should bear the Registration date, Reg. No. and Office seal). The details must be in Form No. 9.
  2. Date of Birth for Uniformed Defence personal should be an extract. from D.O. Part II.
  3. Sc/ST Certificate on Child's name issued by the competent authority.
  4. For the residential proof of parent, a Photo copy of ration card or Photo copy of Voter's identity card and a self declaration is to be submitted at the time of registration.
NOTE:-
  • In the Registration Form colour photo must be pasted.
  • Registration Form without the Attested Photocopies of the above relevant documents will be rejected. NOTE:-
    1. Mere Registration will not confer a right to admission.
    2. Admission secured on submission of wrong information / certificates shall be cancelled by the principal.
    3. Admission secured on the basis of any wrong certificates shall be cancelled by the principal forthwith and np appeal against such action of the principal shall be entertained. However, admission may be granted on provisional basis, if certain documents / certificates are not available provided required documents / certificates are submitted to the principal latest by 31st July of that year.
    4. At the time of admission ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES are to be submitted, which will not be returned.
